Kofi Middleton Mends To Be Buried On October 1st – Family Announces


The family of the late veteran Ghanaian actor, Kofi Middleton-Mends, have announced that the actor would be buried on October 1.
The family made the announcement during a courtesy call on the Minister of Tourism and Creative Arts, Mrs Elizabeth Ofosu Adjare.
Middleton-Mends passed away a fortnight ago on Tuesday, August 16 – and the family paid the visit on the Minister to officially announce the news and to thank her for the Ministry’s support.
According to them, his burial and final funeral rites are set for the 1st of October 2016.
The veteran thespian, who died after succumbing to a battle with kidney disease at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, was most known for an acclaimed role in 1968’s ‘No Tears for Ananse’, as well as 1988’s ‘Heritage Africa’. He was also a prominent face on television for years for his role in the hugely popular Key Soap ‘me do fo pa’ commercials.
The actor, whose most recent acting effort was in Shirley Frimpong Manso’s ‘Grey Dawn’ (2015) – is survived by a wife and three children. He was 77.
