The head of the BHIM nation, Livingstone Etse Satekla, trade name Stonebwoy, is the latest chief in town.
Stonebwoy, after playing a massive concert in Tamale, met the Paramount Chief of Tamale, the Gukpegu Naa – Naa Dakpema Alhassan Dawuni – who conferred the honour on him.
The dancehall artist was enskinned as the inaugural ‘Sapashini’, or ‘Dancehall Warrior’.
Stonebwoy posted the ceremony on his social media pages, expressing gratitude to the Tamale Paramount Chief and the people of Tamale for a great show and the honour.
“Thanks To The People of TAMALE
Most Especially, GUKPEGU NAA The Paramount Chief of TAMALE, NAA DAKPEMA ALHASSAN DAWUNI
for This Honour Behold The First #SAPASHINI
#DancehallWarrior?✅” he wrote.
There’s an uncrowned ‘dancehall king’ in town, but now we have a bona fide ‘dancehall warrior’.
