Former Black Stars international Kevin-Prince Boateng faces a fine of up to €3,000 after his incredible gesture to show solidarity with Italy’s earthquake victims broke Spanish Federation soccer rules.
Boateng scored, for the second consecutive game, for his new side Las Palmas as they demolished Granada over the weekend. And after scoring, Prince revealed a t-shirt with the inscription ‘Forza Italia’ – to show solidarity with the victims of the massive earthquake that hit Italy last week and has to date killed over 200 people.
Prince spent three years playing in the country for giants A.C Milan from 2010-2013, before recently making a return for a six month loan that ended this June.
His action, however commendable, would draw him a Spanish Federation fine, as it contravenes article 91 of its football rule book.
Prince joined Las Palmas this summer from Milan, and has already netted in the club’s two games as they have made a stronger than expected start to the season.
