Shatta Wale has expressed gratitude to Jon Benjamin, the UK’s High Commissioner to Ghana, for the massive support the diplomat has shown to the cause of the SM4Lyf movement.
Benjamin has expressed public support numerous times to the dancehall act, including before his recent headline act in London Indigo at the O2.
Just spoke with my friend @shattawalegh wishing him well for his big gig in London on 26 August. Go well! pic.twitter.com/gLTTjXeMdu

Now, having finished lighting up London, the dancehall king has announced a new honour to be bestowed on his massive supporter. In a post on Facebook Sunday, Wale names him an honorary ‘Shatta’.
“This is to say a special thank you to a friend who has been of great support from the moment he joined the movement, Shatta JB…. Hon. Jon Benjamin, the British High Commissioner to Ghana, thank you very much for the support!” – Shatta Wale on FB.
After Wale and Michy, we have a new Shatta in town.
