David Beckham has taken to his Instagram page to prove how big of a fan he is of Robbie Keane. The Dubliner announced his retirement yesterday which would take effect after his last friendly match against Oman.
Following that his former LA Galaxy teammate David took to Instagram to pay tribute to Ireland’s record goalscorer. From a picture he shared, he captioned it:
“145 caps, 67 goals. Passion and love for the game especially when playing for his country. Doesn’t matter where he plays he scores goals”.
Earlier on Wednesday Keane was named in the Republic’s squad for the Oman game and the opening World Cup qualifier against Serbia on 5 September.However, the ex-Spurs striker later released a statement confirming his impending international retirement as reported by BBC.
