The embattled preacher has spent two nights behind bars since his Tuesday arrest on assault and fraud charges, but has finally been granted bail.
Starrfmonline reports the founder and leader of the International GodsWay Church was granted a self recognisance bail with two sureties, although the amount involved has not been made public.
Obinim’s aide Joseph Osei Oppong Brenya also confirmed the news with a post on Facebook, simply writing that “Bishop Dr. Daniel Obinim has been granted bail.”
The controversial ‘Man of God’ came into the public spotlight again after a video of him flogging two church members went viral on social media. This led to being roundly condemned, and a complaint was lodged against him by the Gender Minister. After turning himself in following a police invitation, he was booked for another case, this time an alleged Ghc 11.9m fraud.
