This is the kind of incident that throws a giant light on the mass gullibility of a large segment of the population – willingly immersed in belief in the supernatural to the extent they forget to live in the natural.
These followers of Obinim, from their hysterical complaints – which are absolutely heartfelt – almost certainly believe their Bishop when he says he turns into Lions and gallivants around with Jesus. Otherwise they would not be spewing this tripe.
Bishop Obinim’s followers are now claiming that the incarceration of the man is leading to deaths, as people brought to him for healing are not able to access his services. They claim two people have already died and more would die if the Bishop is not released.
If sick people are being carted off to the church instead of the hospital, they would die all right – Obinim or no Obinim. These people definitely lack a basic understanding of how reality works.
They loathe the gullible man who reported their ‘father’ for fraud, but are not any better themselves.
Unfortunately, these people are no different from majority of the population – that’s the real problem with Ghana.
