Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, founder of Royal House Chapel has reportedly delved into the Obinim flogging saga during his sermon yesterday-August, 21.
Ankrah stated among other things that, it was totally unacceptable to whip people in the church in this era, as the church should be a place to welcome sinners and not where they are punished. 
He added, whipping fornicators will more likely push them away from the church, instead of bringing them closer to God and the church–therefore, it is totally wrong.
Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah fell on the famous story of the adulterous woman who was brought to Jesus–and how Jesus did not allow any stoning or whipping to say that, everyone on this earth is a sinner and therefore no one should be able to whip another for his sins.
