Bishop Daniel Obinim and his credulous followers would not let us rest. After (again) making negative headlines for whipping two ‘wards’ of his in his church – its another Sunday and business of making money must continue.
Obinim’s number one aide, Joseph Osei Brenya, who was the rapid response director to the challenges Obinim faced after the release of the video, is providing updates of the International Gods Way Church service, including the testimony version, where one gets to hear all sorts of hogwash about the ‘powers’ possessed by Obinim.
In one post, the claim is that a woman who had a ‘rib complication’ and was scheduled for surgery at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, came to the church, where Obinim gave her some instructions.
After following the instructions, Obinim allegedly appeared in this woman’s dreams, as he usually does, and “operated on her and changed her bone”. That is a direct quote. The lady then went back to the hospital, where she was told all was well, she doesn’t need surgery anymore.
Isn’t God wonderful? Maybe Obinim should visit the surgical wards every Sunday and perform this magic there. Or perhaps, instead of an emergency ward to deal with accidents, we can just have Obinim and all the best pastors in the country sit there and wait for accident victims.
The saddest part is that the congregation, and most Ghanaians –  are prepared to buy this hogwash. I would say Obinim insults the intelligence of Ghanaians but apparently, there is no intelligence to insult.
