Otumfuo Says Africans Don't Vote On Issues

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has hit on one of the most prevalent issues with our so-called democracy, which is the lack of voter education on the issues.
Speaking in the UK, Otumfuo said that the problem with our democracy is that voters vote on what little ‘bribes’ they receive, and on nepotism, rather than analysing the issues and making the best choice.
“Voters in Africa don’t vote on issues but on small favours and nepotism” Otumfuo said during a lecture.
“[Consequently] elections on the continent have been abused and characterised by fraud…”
The monarch added that the problem has hindered development on the continent, and that things would improve only when voters learn to vote based on the right metrics.
