Usain Bolt Blitz Past Gatlin To Win Record Third Consecutive 100m Olympic Gold

Jamaican sprint king Usain Bolt cemented his status as the greatest sprinter of all time with another stunning 100m win in the finals of Rio 2016.
The Jamaican won in 9.81s, to condemn US sprinter Justin Gatlin to second and Canadian Andre de Grasse to third place.
Bolt, again, was far from the fastest out of the blocks, but seemingly inevitably glided past his rivals on the final stretch to make it his third consecutive 100m Olympic Gold, a feat achieved by no man before in the fiercely competitive sprint race.
Bolt would now be hoping to complete the ‘triple triple’ to further cement his legend – win the 200m and the 4x100m with Jamaica – again for the third consecutive Olympics.
