SORE LOSER: US Women's National Team Goalkeeper Hope Solo Has An Epic Meltdown After Team's Olympic Elimination – Says Opponent's Sweden Were 'Cowards'

The US’ women’s national team were kicked out of the Rio Olympics by Sweden on Friday night in a result that shocked the watching world as much as it shocked the US team.
The ladies are so used to winning at this level that they simply couldn’t process what had happened. The US have won four out of the five women’s Olympic tournaments held since its inception.
Add in the combative personality of goalkeeper Hope Solo, and her post match interview turned into an epic meltdown.
Solo, who was culpable for the US loss with some poor keeping in the shoot-out, tore into Sweden, calling them cowards for defending and playing on the counter attack. In Solo’s mind, the mighty virtuous US were undone by the stinking communist Swedes.
What Solo, and most other sore losers of her type fail to comprehend, is that there is no ‘right’ way to play football. Winning is winning, and whether you do it by parking ten men in the goal or by playing the most aesthetic ‘soccer’ ever seen – all the history books care about is who won.
It’s that simple.
