Real Madrid star Crisitiano Ronaldo is perhaps the ‘prophet’ most appreciated in his own home, as his home town of Madeira keeps naming monuments after him (an airport and a museum). They even have plans to eventually name the entire island after him.
So when a recent fire outbreak razed down homes and led to unfortunate deaths, the star mourned with his people and did his best to help.
The fire has reportedly been razing for more than 3 days, and has killed at least four people and destroyed countless properties. Ronaldo made a post on Facebook Wednesday sympathising with those affected.
According to reports, he has made a cash donation to help deal with the ravages of the fire. Some reports have put the donation as high as $100,000.
