Nsawam prison has become the must visit place in the last few days since the incarceration of Montie Fm’s three—with several prominent politicians and members of the NDC regularly visiting to show solidarity.
Earlier today, National Executives of the NDC, led by Chairman Kofi Portuphy and General Secretary Asiedu Nketia visited the Montie 3—and reportedly assured them that the party is behind them.
Since the Supreme Court’s imprisonment of the three for contempt following their threats to kill justices of the court, several NDC sympathisers including Ministers of State have signed a petition, calling on President Mahama to pardon them.
Others have also argued that, any presidential pardon will be assault on the judiciary and therefore they should be allowed to serve their 4 months sentence.
