Montie 3 Petition Presented To Council Of State To Peruse And Advice The President On

‘Montie 3’

Days go by and the Montie 3 saga continues, unabated.
The President was recently presented with the signed petition calling for the release of the jailed three, and in keeping with his constitutional mandate, the President is seeking the advice of the council of state.
The Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Julius Debrah, presented the petition, which calls for the President to exercise his powers to pardon the three, to the Chairperson of the Council, Madam Cecilia Johnson.
Madam Johnson told the Chief of Staff that the council would present the petition to their legal council for review, and then meet as a group to peruse its contents and make a decision.
The so-called Montie 3 – Alistair Nelson, Godwin Ako Gunn and Salifu ‘Mugabe’ Maase, were jailed for four months each after they lobbed threats at Supreme Court justices during an explosive radio show hosted by Mugabe on Montie Fm.
