The most expensive transfer in the history of football was completed Monday when French midfielder Paul Pogba joined Manchester United from Italian side Juventus.
The deal cost, in total, €105 million – but the Italian club would not pocket the entire sum as some fees and commission’s have to be settled – including a monster gain for Paul Pogba’s agent.
Mino Raoila is known as the super agent, the man who represents some of the best players in the world, and he’s known for driving a hard bargain. And he seems to have drawn the hardest of all here, making a whopping €27m from the deal for his pocket.
How outrageous is that?
Raolia has already moved around some of his other high profile clients this summer, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrik Mikhtaryian, both to Manchester United. Other high profile clients include Mario Balotelli, Romelu Lukaku, and Milan’s 17 year old goalkeeping prodigy, Gianluiji Donnarumma.
Amazingly, a football agent is making more money this summer than most players would make throughout the year.
He’s using his gumption appropriately
