Black Stars vice captain Andre Ayew joined London club West Ham United late Monday; to the delight of most Ghanaians, and one British High Commissioner.
One of those delighted Ghanaians is the captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, who congratulated the 26 year old for the move.
Ayew is one of several Ghanaians who have made visible moves within the transfer window, and Gyan congratulated his successor, alongside other players such as Emmanuel Frimpong and Mubarak Wakaso.
“congrats boys @IAMFRIMPONG26 @WakasoBobby @AwalAwal1988 and @AyewAndre on your new challenges… soo good for Ghana.. #monkor” he wrote on twitter.
Ayew completed his club record £20.5m move to the Hammers on Monday, afterwards signing a four year deal.
