It’s official – after two months of rumours upon rumours upon rumours – Paul Pogba would be a Manchester United player this season.
The French international has been the subject of intense negotiations between Juventus and United, with the Turin club holding out for a world record £100m deal.
The Manchester club announced Sunday that Pogba has been handed permission to have a medical next week, ahead of finalising the move.
“Paul Pogba has been granted permission to have a medical in order to finalise his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United.” the short statement on the club’s official site read.
Pogba rejoins the club he left as a teenager in 2012, when his representatives failed to reach a deal with then manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
