Bordeaux bought fancy new winger Jeremy Menez from AC Milan only days ago, but he’s already been broken by ‘jealous rivals.’
The French forward came on for his new side in a friendly against Lorient, and it didn’t take long before he was massively injured, Holyfield style.
After getting into a clash with Lorient’s Didier Ndong, things didn’t end up so well for the midfielder, who lost a part of his ear after it was stepped on. He needed to be carted off the pitch to a nearby hospital, where the ear was stitched back up.
This seems a little too gruesome for your average football game. The silver lining? Bordeaux won by 3 goals to 1.
Hopefully Jeremy returns to full flight soon enough.
