Popular Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa has defended Pastor E.A. Adeboye’s controversial views that a woman should not marry a man who doesn’t have a job.
The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Adeboye, has been trending since yesterday — after a-year-old video of him saying women shouldn’t marry men without jobs surfaced online. “Don’t marry a man who has no job. Before God gave Adam Eve, he gave him a job. He said this is the garden, keep it. So those who come to you and say sister, thus saith the lord, you are going to be the star in my firmament, ask him what is his job,” he said.
Throwing in her two cents, Toke said she agrees with Pastor Adeboye’s advice that a girl must not marry a man who has no job.
“Before God gave Adam Eve, he gave him a Job???? ladies shine ya eyezzzzzz let his vision materialise before you marry him,” the estranged wife of Maje Ayida said on Twitter.
“Pastor Adeboye did not say anything bad, if anything I would hope the women take the advice on men seriously.
“A man is to provide for his household and not the other way round. If he has no income, he should not marry #Deep but true,” she added.
Such a nonsense idealogy, having a job or money doesnt guarantees a happy marriage. A man could have a job today and loose it tomorrow same as could be jobless today and have a job tomorrow so it doent make any sense unless you are a gold digger.
