The Ga Traditional Council has joined their voice to the numerous calls for the release of the Montie 3, expressing solidarity with the jailed panelists.
In a statement, the Council said that in the spirit of the current Homowo, the convicts should be forgiven and released. Signed by acting President Nii Duodu Nsaki, the group expressed willingness to sign the petition book signed by luminaries such as Nana Oye Lithur and Akua Donkor.
The Montie 3, Alistair Nelson, Godwin Ako Gunn and Salifu ‘Mugabe’ Maase, were jailed for four months for contempt, after which an entire movement has sprung up dedicated to getting them out of jail.
