It’s difficult to argue with such a sentiment, seeing as how nobody really came out looking good from that entire debacle.
Erstwhile member of the now defunct dynamic hiplife duo Akyeame, Okyeame Quophi, has expressed disappointment with comedian Funny Face concerning his handling of his combustible divorce from Elizabteh Ntim.
Funny Face a couple weeks ago confirmed news of his divorce from his wife of two years, sparking off a battle of accusations and counter accusations that aired every single dirty linen from that marriage in public. And by God, there were a lot of sheets.
Speaking on the issue on Adom Fm, the artiste now known as Quophi Okyeame said he actually admires the ex-wife for her handling of the issue in comparison to Funny Face’s.
He said celebrities should know that the best way to shield a marriage is by keeping it from the public eye.
“As a celebrity, you should always try to shield your marital life from coming public especially when there is a problem because there is always a high possibility that you may patch up the relationship someday,”
He gave examples of celebrities whose marriages failed due to talking about their marriages in the press, including Obaapa Christy and Esther Smith.
Quophi, who has been married to Stacy Amoateng for over a decade, said celebrity marriages require more work and understanding from both partners.
“You don’t expect your wife to always be in the house to serve you food after work whilst you know perfectly well that she will be on set to shoot a movie. You just have to find yourself some food to eat and hope that she would be available the next time to prepare you your favourite meal.
“There will always be love and peace if there is an agreement between partners,” he concluded.
