Nana Addo Says He's Keeping His Policy Proposals To Improve The Ailing NHIS Close Because Mahama Would Steal Them If He Reveals It

Nana Akufo-Addo

It seems trivial and frivolous but this is actually a legitimate concern of Nana Akuffo-Addo, a clear indication of the kind of joke our political system has become.
For this same reason the two political parties hold out on releasing their manifestos for as late as they can, for fear the other would just copy and paste their ideas.
NPP flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has said that he plans to revitalise the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) when he gets into office, except he cannot say how he plans to do it for fear his ideas might be stolen by the NDC.
Nana Addo was speaking at an NPP fundraising event.
“We will pay a lot of attention to revitalising the NHIS. It is important that we do so, and find sustainable methods of making sure that the financing of the scheme is secure.” he said.

Nana Addo though failed to get more specific about his plans past that.
“I dare not say them in public, because if I do, tomorrow, Mahama will take them as his own. Every time I open my mouth to say something, the next day he parrots it. So I have to be careful.” he added.
The NDC response to this one should be pretty good.
