Imagine being dragged in the sleeping hours of dawn by a friend to go stand by them whilst they urinate—how annoying could that be?. Even that where you have the option of declining their request, such interruption is sure to get under you skin.
The thought alone of being made or subtly forced to engage in any activity you are not apt for isn’t entirely a life anyone would be craving to live.News flash people, that is practically the life 57 years old, Ronnie and Donnie Galyon have been subjected to live for their entire life.
Ronnie and Donnie Galyon are the world’s oldest living conjoined twin. They have broken a mystical medical phenomenon as Doctors never knew they would live beyond the night but for whatever reasons here they are ,alive and still striving.
“They’re one body, but very much two human beings,” says Jim of his two brothers.
The twins have four arms, four legs and share a lower digestive tract and pelvic area. They’ve spent every waking moment with each other, face-to-face, but have never known any other way of life.
A customised bed from Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital has also greatly helped the twins, allowing them to sleep better and improving their “health and quality of life.” The brothers’ sister-in-law, Mary Galyon, told MLive.com that this bed has been a huge factor as to why the twins have made it this far.
Ronnie and Donnie dream is to see their favourite American football team play and their brother sees to it that it becomes a passing reality.
Most of us do not have to think twice or put any particular effort into doing basic activities like walking but for this twin it is a rather herculean task which does not only require strenuous efforts but compromises and co-operation.
After watching this video I bet you would know life isn’t bad after all, a lot more people than you could ever imagine would not mind wearing your shoes, irrespective of what one may be facing.
