The Democratic nominee for President, Hillary Rodham Clinton, has announced her vice Presidential pick, mere days before the Democratic Convention kicks off in Philadelphia.
Virginia senator Tim Kaine joins Clinton on the ticket for November’s crucial elections against Republican nominee Donald J. Trump.
Mrs Clinton considered several candidates for the role, including liberal senator Elizabeth Warren and New Jersey’s fresh faced African American senator Cory Booker, before eventually settling on Kaine.
Kaine is a former mayor and governor and is expected to help Mrs Clinton carry the battleground state of Virginia in November.
