A son of the former President John Evans Atta Mills, Sam Kofi Mills, has donated several items to a special needs school in the Volta Region on the occasion of what would have been the 72nd birthday of the late Professor.
Sam Mills donated several items including cartons of drinks, sugar and bags of rice to the Three Kings Special School in Battor in the Volta Region.
Thursday (July 21) marked the 72nd birthday of the former President, who died in 2012 whilst still in office.
“We decided to come to The Three Kings Special School in Battor because today [Thursday], marks the 72nd birthday celebration of the late President Atta Mills who is also my dad. This is something we do annually on his birthday and this is something he was doing when he was alive. They actually wrote to us that they needed support and we looked at it and decided to come here. So we decided to come and share with the kids in a special needs school” Mills said during the presentation.
