According to a GhanaCelebrities.Com reader-Gilbert Owusu;
These old pensioners been dragged from their homes and some cases their sick beds in Koforidua in order to be verified at an ongoing head count exercise by the CAGD.
Some of the pensioners are said to be showing signs of fatigue as they arrive in taxis or on wheel chairs.
To me, this is very Shameful, Abominable and heartless. Where is this country going to? The hierarchy of SSNIT should bow their heads in shame!!!
Could this head count (the update of pensioners payroll by the CADG) have been done in such a way that it would have been comfortable for these senior citizens, instead of what these photos show?
Family members of these pensioners had no option than to drag them out to the exercise grounds no matter their conditions for verification, or else their state pension would be stopped, we are told.
