At least 70 people have been killed and about 100 injured in Nice, South of France, after a truck drove into a crowd celebrating Bastille Day in the city.
The day had brought thousands of people to the city’s center for a concert by Christian Auguin, director of the Washington National Opera, an event which was followed by the fireworks display.
According to local newspaper Nice-Matin, the vehicle ran into the crowd while they watched a fireworks display on the Promenade des Anglais, reports NBC News.
CNN says the truck occupants and police exchanged gunfire after the attack, making this a clear terror attack
