Police in the Eastern Region have launched an investigation to unravel how a 40-year-old farmer, Evans Obiri, died.
Evans was found hanging in his room in an apparent suicide on Tuesday morning, barely a day after his wife packed her things out of their home.
The couple was said to have had several disagreements, prompting the woman to leave.
Police officials who are investigating the tragedy at Suhum said they had yet to determine a basis for the suicide, stressing that Evans did not leave a suicide note.
The news comes a week after an official of the Ghana Prison service committed suicide at Duayaw Nkwanta in the Brong Ahafo region.
The man whose name was given as Budu is said to have hanged himself in his room.
The rationale for the suicide could also not be determined.
