Dede Ayew
Black Stars vice captain Andre Ayew Dede has been outdoored as the latest brand ambassador for one of the official sponsors of the senior national team.
Unibank Ghana unveiled the son of football maestro Abedi Ayew Pele as their newest ambassador, to project the image of the brand wherever he goes, at a ceremony in Accra on Thursday.
Ayew has been a stalwart in the Stars since he received his first call-up as a raw teenager in 2008, and captained Ghana to glory in the Under 20 world cup the next year.
He has since advanced through the ranks in the team, and is currently assistant to Asamoah Gyan, who he is replacing as brand ambassador.
Present at the signing was the banks COO, Dr Kwabena Duffour, and Andre’s mum, Maya Ayew.
Dede currently plays for Swansea in the English Premier League.
