President John Dramani Mahama has lauded the West African Examination Council (WAEC) for pulling off the best-organised examination at the basic level in the country, myjoyonline reports.
President Mahama was full of praise for the institution over the organisation of the 2016 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which observed no exam leakage this time around.
“I’m pleased to note that WAEC has risen to the occasion to deal with the shameful examination malpractices that have plagued examinations over the past several years,” he said.
The President disclosed this when he addressed students, teachers and parents at the 70th Anniversary ceremony of the Aburi Girls Secondary School on June 25, 2016.
