Former Black Stars defender John Painstil has been named the new assistant coach of South African giants Kaizer Chiefs.
The club made the announcement today, alongside a raft of other appointments as they attempt to relaunch from a disappointing 2015/2016 season in which they finished fifth on the table.
Painstil, who recently retired from international football after winning 89 caps for Ghana, would assist Chiefs head coach Steve Komphela. Komphela previously managed the right back at Maritzburg United.

Congratulations to the former Black Star.
