In an interview with Accra based Onua FM the public affairs officer of the West African Examination Council (WAEC), Agnes Teye Cudjoe has revealed that the council closed down all websites that were used to disseminate leaked papers.
This statement comes just after President Mahama lauded the council for their unprecedented leakage free Basic Education Certificate Examination this year.
“I am pleased also to know that WAEC has risen to the occasion to deal with the shameful malpractices that has plagued examinations over the past several years. This year I am proud to know that our BECE examinations have passed without any incident recorded”, the president said over the weekend.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) together with the Bureau of National Investigations to supervise the transportation of the papers to the various examination centres.
With such measures I was not expecting anything below par.
