A first cousin of Ghana’s Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur, Patrick Mantey, has reportedly endorsed the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo.
Mantey was on tour with Nana Addo in the Central Region when he made the public declaration, claiming that economic hardships under the NDC were too much, and thus they had to be voted out.
“I am dumping the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the NPP because they have nothing good to offer Ghanaians and I do not see any better future, should the NDC and Mahama retain power”, Mantey told some residents of Moree, according to the Daily Guide.
Nana Akuffo-Addo is currently touring hard in preparation for the November polls, when he would contest to be President for the third time. Mantey’s cousin and the President, John Dramani Mahama, would be hoping for a second term in office.
