Star Trek Actor Anton Yelchin Dies In ‘Freak Accident’ Aged 27

Anton-Yelchin-Net-Worth
Actor Anton Yelchin, who played the Russian engineer Pavel Chekov in recent iterations of Star Trek movies, has passed away after what multiple reports have described as a ‘freak accident’ in Los Angeles.
Yelchin reportedly just got out of his car in his driveway when it rolled backwards and pinned him against a brick pillar and a security fence.
The accident led to trauma which eventually killed him.
“The victim was on his way to meet his friends for a rehearsal and when he didn’t show up, his friends went to his house where they found him deceased by his car,” Houser told CNN. “It appears that he momentarily left his car, leaving it in the driveway. He was behind the vehicle when it rolled backward and pinned him to the brick pillar causing the trauma that led to his death.” LAPD’s Jennifer Houser said.
Yelchin, 27, was a child star who made his name on Steven Spielberg’s ‘Taken’. He has also appeared in other productions such as ‘Like Crazy’ and ‘Alpha Dog’ over the course of his career. His Star Trek credits include Star Trek (2009), Star Trek: Into Darkness (2013), and Star Trek Beyond, which comes out next month.
