Rapper Sarkodie beat off stiff completion from fellow entertainers to pick up the Entertainer of the Year award at the first ever Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) awards.
Sarkodie fended off big names like Shatta Wale, EL, Adjetey Annan and Kalybos to pick up the honour.
Exclusive Men’s Magazine organised the event, the maiden edition, to reward the achievements of extraordinary men in the country.
Other award winners included Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, winning the Ultimate Man of the Year award, Dr Beatrice Wiafe as Ultimate Woman of the Year award; and Bola Ray and Kwabena Duffour winning Men of the Year awards for Communication and Governance respectively.
Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan was adjudged Man of the Year for Sports.
The award ceremony was held Saturday night at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra.
