Algeria has blocked several social media sites including Facebook and Twitter in order to stop cheating in an upcoming exams.
The North African country’s authorities made this shocking and unusual move after the baccalaureat exam questions leaked ahead of the retakes.
In a statement released today, Algeria’s Ministry of Post and Information and Communication Technology stated that the “cut of social networks has a direct relationship with the matriculation exams”, which is slated Sunday.
