A Cape Coast based event organiser, Henry Obioha, has accused ‘Ekiki Me’ singer Wisa of swindling him of over Ghc 1,000.
The event promoter said that the singer had taken some money from him to perform a show in Cape Coast, but on the fateful day failed to make an appearance.
Obioha made the allegations on the Am Pluzz Show on Pluzz Fm.
According to him, he contacted Wisa’s entourage a while back to get him to play his show, and that they agreed on Ghc 2,000 for the event. He says he paid Ghc 1,200 out of that, with the rest to be paid after the event.
On the d-day however, Wisa failed to show. He said the singer never indicated he wasn’t going to appear, but ultimately failed to do so. He said despite several calls to the artiste to refund the initial deposit, he has refused to do so.
Wisa, who was called to give his side of the story, said that he had indeed been paid for the show, but that the show had flopped and on the day of the performance, he heard it had been cancelled.
He said even though he could afford to pay the money back, he wouldn’t because the promoter is incompetent and he has used the money to buy clothes.
