Former HIV/AIDS Ambassador Joyce Dzidzor Mensah has served notice to comedienne Afia Schwarzenegger that they would meet in court soon.
Dzidzor is suing the presenter for defamation of character, saying Afia Schwar called her a thief during the height of her scandal.
Dzidzor Mensah served as Ambassador the Ghana AIDS Commission for several years, before coming out to shock the country with a declaration that she was never HIV positive. She has since recanted, saying she had the disease all along but had to deny due to stigmatisation.
In a post on Facebook Wednesday, Mensah accused Afia of insulting her at a time when she was down and thus is planning to sue her.
“We live in a society where everyone can insult and abuse people in the name of democracy. While I was still at the psychiatry department receiving treatment in Germany, the Radio presenter who calls herself Afia Shwarzeneger abused me verbally by calling me a thief.
“My lawyer and I were working underground to sue her on defamation of character. The time has come now to take action.
“See you in court soon woman! !!!!!!!!!” she wrote.
