The Ghana Freethinkers Podcast returns tonight with a new episode, set to discuss the usual big questions.
The podcast has been moved to Wednesdays to accommodate some scheduling issues, and tonight marks the first ever mid week episode.
Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri would be joined by GhanaCelebrities.Com and BrutallyUncensored.Com writer, atheist Godwin Nii-Armah Okine, and several other panelists for the discussion.
This week’s episode would focus on a review HBO’s Game of Thrones, which is currently going through its sixth season, and as usual the show is throwing up twists and turns as we go along. Chris-Vincent would be joined by the other panellists to review the seven episodes aired so far, and look at the impending storms in the final three episodes.
The conversation would then turn to religion, specifically the wholesale adoption of the conqueror’s religion in Africa, and the subsequent demonisation of our ancestral religions. This conversation would be held against the backdrop of DKB’s recent altercation with a white Twitter user, as well as recent arrests of students for engaging in ‘occultism’.
Still on religion, and on the back of the recent one year commemoration of the circle June 3 disaster and the accounts of some survivors, we would also look at the issue of people praising God for surviving an accident he presumably could have stopped in the first place. What does that kind of behaviour say about the religious?
We would also discuss the rise of CustomerDiscuss.Com and the issues it raises. What exactly is wrong with customer care in Ghana?
