Some golden ornaments belonging to the Kwahu-Pepease traditional stool worth thousands of Ghana cedis, have been stolen from the room of one of its chiefs.
The Nkonguasufohene of Kwahu -Pepease, Nana Abankwah Ansong, who was in possession of the items, reported them stolen from his house when he went to take a shower.
The items include two bracelets, a chain, and a necklace, which together has been valued at several thousand cedis worth.
The nephew of Nana Nkonguasufohene, Kwaku Asare, has been declared the chief suspect in the theft, and is currently at large.
A manhunt is underway for his capture.
ASP Kumah, the Abetifi Police commander confirmed the incident to Starr News, and noted that the Police are doing everything they can to bring Asare, who is suspected of an attempt to flee the country, to book for his crime.
