GHANA UNDER A MINUTE | Welcome to Ghana…A Land of Beautiful Madness and Nonsense

Ghana
Ghana

Ghana is a multicultural nation with a population of approximately 27 million, spanning a variety of ethnic, linguistic and religious groups.
It’s diverse geographic and ecology ranges from coastal savannahs to tropical jungles. Ghana is one of the world’s largest gold and diamond producers and is projected to be the largest producer of cocoa in the world as of 2015.
Ghana means “warrior king” in the Soninke language. As kids we used to think it meant “God Has Appointed Nkrumah Already”, today I wish God could appoint another Nkrumah for tragedy has befallen the Country.
Welcome to Ghana…
A land where the Inspector General of Police is insistent on blocking social media networks for election sake.
Mike Oquaye Jnr. was not far from the truth when he said the IGP would be the worst in the history of Ghana should he go ahead with executing such primitive idea. When other countries are using forensics and ultramodern equipement, you are here talking gibberish. Mr. Kudalor, was social media even in existence when Rawlings was staging a coup d’tat?
A land where people ‘crusade’ to watch a hindu telenovela translated into twi and you just wonder what is wrong with them. How can Indians be travelling to Techiman, eating kenkey, talk of dumsor and be singing Daasebre Dwamena’s k)k)))k)?
Like really? It is not even funny, simply ludicrous. Or is india a surburb in Ghana? Multimedia group, Kwesi Twum, Ghanaians say Ayekoo!
A land where the  tourism, culture and creative arts Minister adorns herself in a Moroccan outfit on arguably the biggest, most prestigious music event, the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Who expected Madam Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, who at many official levels pushed the Ghana agenda forward by the way she presents herself, in kente and other distinctly Ghanaian outfit would on a day like that wear a Moroccan outfit and confidently tell the world that indeed she was wearing a foreign outfit on a Ghana culture platform.
To think that she kept going on and on about how her ministry is promoting made in Ghana products. Maybe if she had just zipped it, she would have gotton away with the gaffe. Maa Lizzy we know fashion is subjective but unor try kraa
A land where a member of parliament and a media personality, two role models engage shamelessly in a battle of foul language. As a nation we have been deprived of a lot of things but having no one to look up is a knife in your dark soul kind of pain.
Mr Kennedy Agyapong and Miss Schwar, how do you guys sleep at night knowing you have dented your reputation? Maybe you both belong in the “gutters” after all. Posterity will serve you with your deserved verdict.
Welcome to Ghana, a land where a supposed prophet of God sits on national television to tell the world that he can turn into any animal on this earth. Such foolish talks from a man of God, God indeed is mysterious. What are you waiting for? Turn into a lion and devour the president, then we would believe in you.
A land where the President governs the nation with promises, empty ones as such.
Mister President man no go chop promises oo. “Man came to do but no all”, it is evident that just like biblical Moses you cannot take us to the promise land and that is ok(we never bore), just give the mantle of leadership to Joshua so he takes us to the land that flows with milk and honey.
A land where an MTTU officer responsible for directing traffic would unconcernedly conversate with his colleague whilst pedestrians cloud waiting to cross the road. Some people need to be baptised with burning petrol. “WTF” is wrong with you Mister Officer? The way Ghanaians can flaunt well the cloak of incompetence and negligence though(smh).
A land where judges of the supreme court nicodemously promote bribery and corruption. What happens behind closed doors (hmmm).
But why did they even take tubers of yam, goats and flat “brown envelopes”(ok maybe the money was in foreign currency or maybe it was a check). Otherwise looking at what is at stake with regards to the profession when caught, the items were chicken change. They won’t ask for private jets and condo, you are there taking yams and goats, na mixed farming u wan do?
A land where the likes of Bukom Banku bleaches to veins because he has the believe that he would be Ghana’s ambassador to Germany pretty soon(Awurade yete asem ho).
Bukom should just not be encouraged to open his mouth. Anyway Mr. soon-to-be ambassador we wish you well in all your endeavours including you musical career, you are a true definition of jack of all trade.
Welcome to Ghana, a land of beautiful madness and nonsense.
