Yet another celebrity marriage bites the dust, as Amber Heard files for divorce from her ‘player of eccentric characters’ husband, Johnny Depp.
Heard filed the case in Los Angeles Superior Court Monday, citing the oft used divorce term ‘irreconcilable differences’.
The pair got married last year, after meeting on the set of ‘The Rum Diary’ in 2011. They have no children together, but Heard is demanding spousal support, something Depp is pushing back against in his response to the divorce.
The divorce filing comes just days after Depp lost his mother, whom he was reported to being very close to, and whose death therefore hit him pretty hard.
Johnny Depp, 52, is notorious for playing kooky characters, such as the loveable rogue Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. His latest movie, ‘Through The Looking Glass’, premieres on Friday, May 27.
