‘Dancehall king’ Shatta Wale has come out fiercely against critics of his recent controversial hit single ‘Wo Maame T**’- calling the song a creative masterpiece.
The song, whose lyrics contain nothing more than dissing the private parts of mothers, has been almost universally condemned, but Shatta continues to stand by it, saying it was made for a certain portion of his audience.
“The song is for the street as well as a party song which the people love” he said on Adom Fm over the weekend.
He added that the song is a historic song in Ghana music.
“I am proud of the song, and I believe in the history of Ghana music nobody has been able to compose such a creative piece.
“It is not a crime, it’s our culture and I don’t want people to take things personal- the song is for the street and for the party people,” he concluded.
