Public officials in Ghana are usually declared dead many times before their actual death date, but usually those rumours do not originate from their own official social media accounts.
An unforgivable typo by whoever runs the President’s Facebook page referred to him as the late President Mahama, when the obvious intent was to talk about former President Mills.
The mistake occurred on the post exalting the President’s role in the commissioning of the new Cape Coast Stadium, which took place on Tuesday.
If there’s one thing this government have proven themselves reliable in, its falling over themselves in their efforts to ram down our throats their ‘accomplishments’, it’s that mentality that left us with the famously short sighted Green book, and we can see that again in this post- because this looks very much like a mistake coming about from haste.
Hope this isn’t symptomatic of anything in that flagstaff house. It would be interesting to see what political hay their opponents would make out of this.
