Hearts of Oak lost to bitter rivals Asante Kotoko 0-1 on Monday in a sour turn of events that seems to have had consequences reverberating off the football field.
A Hearts of Oak fan is reported to have died Tuesday, after collapsing during the game- which the much fancied Phobians lost after a monumental howler from goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye.
Hudu Yahya, founder of the Nima Alaska Chapter 3 branch of the Hearts of Oak supporters union, reportedly passed away at the Ridge Hospital Tuesday morning.
A former management member of the team confirmed the news to Joy News.
“Yes it is true that one of our members by name Alhaji Car owner has been pronounced dead this morning at the Ridge Hospital in Accra”, Aziz Futah said.
“He collapsed during the game and was rushed to the Hospital where he died.” He added.
