Prince Has Sold 3.5m Records In The Week Since He Died

The artiste once known as Prince tragically passed away last week, and consequently, sales of his records have spiked considerably in the few days since his death.
According to Nielsen music, sales of the artists song and albums have hit 3.5m in the almost one week period that has passed since his unfortunate demise.
The number, which includes both physical and digital sales, is made up of 654,000 album copies and 2.82m songs downloads- according to Billboard.
Prince was found dead in his Minneapolis estate on April 21. The 57 year old was found by a friend who called the cops, who pronounced him dead. The results of his autopsy are yet to be revealed, and his family has since cremated his body.
Fans though, are turning to his music like crazy, perhaps as a means of processing their grief at the news- others, presumably, to check out what all the fuss is about.
