It looks like the entire brouhaha over what to do with the corpse of the former Ghana Actors Guild President, Nii Odoi Mensah, can finally be put to rest.
This was after the Minister of Tourism and Creative Arts, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, made a promise to his family on behalf of the President that he would do everything in his power for the corpse to be brought home.
Nii Odoi Mensah passed away in China earlier this month, and after his death, news came out that the family might need close to $70,000 just to get his body back home.
The Minister assured the family that the President would do everything in his power to see to his return. She was speaking on a visit to the late actor’s family house Monday.
If you’ll recall, Nii Odoi Mensah fell ill, and needed money for surgery that took a long time in coming. But as we love to do in this country, his corpse seems to be getting more love than his live body ever did.
