Honourable Inusah Fuseini, the Minister of Roads and Transport, seemed to have had a very good day during a recent song launch, when he showered the room with cold, hard, Ghana cash.
The Minister, who doubles as the MP for the Tamale Central Constituency, was reportedly at the launch of a song which was composed in his honour.Whilst the singer was performing, the excited Minister hit the floor and showered him with wave after wave of cash.
The imagery of a Minister of State displaying such ostentatiousness, during a time of stalled economic progress and supposed fiscal responsibility, cannot be underestimated. Ghanaians in all sectors have been told to hold their nose for years now, losing labour battles because government says there is no money- only to be spat at time and time again as those in power waste money left and right.
Rainbow Radio, which published the video, claims an attendee told them as much as Gh 56,000 was thrown on the ground.
Make of that what you will.
