Rev. Father Yves Lucien, an Accra based Cameroonian Catholic Priest, might have his day of reckoning  sooner than he has planned for.
Father Lucien is accused of impregnating a 24 year old lady who he has refused to cater for. The lady, Josephine Ganyoame, dragged him to the juvenile court in Accra to be compelled to take care of the six month old baby.
In court Wednesday, the judge ordered for the Foreign Affairs Ministry to be served with the writ, to enable them apply for the priest’s immunity to be stripped to enable him stand trial.
Rev. Father Yves Lucien is the Director of the Biblical Centre for Africa and Madagascar (BICAM), situated at the Airport Residential area in Accra- and enjoys his immunity as a result of his ties to The Vatican.
Josephine dragged the priest to court claiming he is refusing to take care of his child. The priest has admitted to an affair, but claims the child cannot be his since he used protection. Ganyoame is praying the court to order a paternity test, as well as compel him to meet the needs of the child.
